What happened to that journalist that fell off and was paralysed?

There was a post on here about 6 to 12 months ago about a journalist (Melanie someone I think) who wrote for The Times (I think) who was cross country schooling and fell off and was badly injured and couldn't move. I know she wrote a very moving article about what had happened but was wondering if anyone could update me on how she is now?

sounds as if she is recovering albeit slowly

Yes Melanie Reid. She writes a column in the Sunday Times magazine quite regularly too, I think possibly every other week. I may be wrong though! Incredibly brave lady.

Very brave; an inspiration. Still in hospital making slow but (hopefully) sure progress.
