I have discussed this with my daughter because I think its very important but wondered if anyone else had considered this and what provision you have made.
Our new pup Pip would remain with my daughter and boyfriend and they would juggle her around, would mean a bit of travelling in the car but she is already used to this.
My 2 Dobes would go back to Dobermann Welfare with a donation and the hope they could be rehomed to a experienced Dobe home. If I wasnt around they wouldnt get the quality of life they have now and are too big to be juggled around. This has made my daughter very sad because she wants to keep them at all costs and she is talking about a large dog flap giving them access to the garden. I think even with a dog proof garden it would only be a matter of time until they found a way out and got into trouble.
But I may well outlive them so my daughter wont have this worry although I can never see myself without a Dobe.
