Hell no! He knew his best shot was not to wait and let the bog fill with other riderless horses and dunked riders . His one mistake was not to jump straight in from the bank ,Lost a lot of momentum ther buddy (says Bob the notacob,totally insane Irish Bog trotter) Bob also commented that leaving you on that islandy bit in the middle while he checked out the rest of the bog was very gallant)

It looked really slippery which is why we didn’t want to cross it! Hehe.

Absolutely not, part of the fun (not sure Bog agrees). Definitely emptied my hip flask afterwards though.

You could have posted this on AE’s thread - if you want to keep up out hunting you have the choice of crossing a boggy ditch or a slippery bridge! I’m impressed that you carried on in your soaking wet clothes, it must have been very slippery in the saddle.
