You get loose at a show and attempt to negotiate a barbed wire fence? You end up falling over on your head and cut your lip and after that you go for a jaunt round the countryside for half an hour on your own with lots of people following you and narrowly miss main roads while you are fully tacked up with some new white boots on. After being caught (finally) you back up on the vets car while she is examining you and sort of roll off the side! Nerdy horse :

Didnt get chance to compete, this happened before anybody got on board! It was his first official party too. Not a good debut!

Aw Thats rubbish! we had a similar experience (although without the cuts and bruises) on our 1st outing alone, we were XC schooling and she decided she would like to have a go alone. We now tack up on the lorry!!! I hope you can get back out asap so that this doesnt become a problem

Oh dear, your heart must have been in your mouth!

Just a bit, it was the fact that we had completely lost sight of him and we were all about knackered after running so far through ploughed and cropped fields. It was so scary thinking he may either hurt himself badly or cause an accident and hurt others.
People were wonderful. We had competitors that stopped in their lorries and trailers and joined in the search in all the best jods and the photographer arranged the vet for us. We all moan about horsey folk but they do pull together when there is a crisis I must say.
The horse looks like nothing has happened today, little cuts all over him but no swellings! Does look a bit stiff though!
The funniest thing about it was that somebody said "he was showing some nice paces across them fields"
