What has been your proudest moment(s) with your horse?

I've had my boy 11 years now and have been thinking about all things we've done. Proudest moments were winning my first trophy with him for an arab class and championship and being placed 3rd, when he was 15, at our local country show at our first attempt!! We were up against about 12 other horses, he was by far the oldest!

What's yours???

Getting to the Trailblazers final with my previous horse Rommy and going to Wales and West with him too in the Cricklands final. Happy happy days :)

With Bailey my present horse it was getting my confidence back enough to jump a 3ft 3" show jumping track following numerous falls from him culminating in a slipped disc!

My gelding - had a moment with him earlier. He's normally quite rude, bad mannered and strong on the ground. He seems to know that I'm sore (broken back) and was so gentle today. He stood to be groomed and let me lead him back to the field without dragging me to the grass enroute. It melted my heart that he was so sensitive especially considering he's not really a people horse.

My mare - she picks her buckets up off the floor and throws them over the stable door. It's quite funny.

the sweetest competative day was when we hacked [ paupers, no transport] to an affilaited dressage comp - where unaff riders were allowed to compete - we trundled into a car park full of very smart lorries - rode a tidy test and won the class:D:D:D:D - hacked to whole way home with rosette on the bridle:D:D:D:D:D

I've been out of riding for so long now and this is on a slightly different track but my proudest moment will be tomorrow, when my new horse arrives, because I can finally afford one after years of hard work :D

She's showing me that I managed to get somewhere in life, although everybody said I wouldn't. That's a big thing to me :D

I'm glad Fred's not the only one that does that with his buckets, ended up catching it as it was coming over the door last night!
