IMHO. However, as it is an open forum everyone can do as they see fit of course. I just think it is a shame certain posters seem intent on upsetting people. Being blunt is one thing, repeatedly being rude quite another.

I am my own critic JT don't worry. I am the first to say what my faults are, and if you actually had read all the posts I have put about me and my own horse, you would see that straight away.

I do not put photos or videos on here for an entirely personal reason, one which I do not have to justify to you.

Ah the irony. So is LW and yet you and one other previous poster spoke to her like poo on your shoe. If you had actually read all her posts about her ponies you would see that straight away too.

Anyway, LW doesn't need me to stick up for her so all is well!

Yes, but the difference is she posted the vid for everyone to see. If I posted vids, I would expect criticism too, and would accept it.

This forum sometimes morphs into a childish bitch fest, but I am so glad you rise above it, and won't be drawn into it. Life is too short.
Can't wait to hear what you have been up to.

There's only one way to learn and everyone has to start somewhere. It's sad that not everyone seems to realise that as It's hardly encouragement.
 
I had noticed you were gone, lovely to see you back and looking forward to an update! I always remember how lovely you were to me when my 2 mares where PTS, we definitely need more like you on here!

I'm more of a lurker now since my thread that I got slaughtered on, so glad to see you are strong enough to rise above it! I certainly won't be posting any videos for a while...

People never know the full story. I am really wary of posting in here, especially about Reg, because people just don't know what has gone on and what difficulties there are, but do have big opinions and big voices. I was really upset by someone calling Al a sack of s!!t rider after I posted a very happy video of a year's progress. Since, Reg hasn't really featured in here- not worth the upset. I'm also in a dither about posting a Smokey update for the same reasons.

Laura, Al is subbed to you on youtube and your progress with Herbie is awesome :) You should be so proud of him! He's not such a horror anymore :D
 
I hadn't been on H&H long but I thought Laura and Herbie were great. She really understands that pony. I remember the thread, really uncomfortable reading. Can't believe that someone could call another rider a sack of *****. There's no need, you can offer criticism but not in those terms - it's plainly wrong. I'm glad LW is back in any case, videos are ace!!
 
Lovely to see your update Laura and Herbie. I love the bond you two have.

I'm not a good rider at all, don't have great hands and don't have an easy push button pony but we are what we are and I'll never make any apology for that and sticks and stones and all that :). As you get older I find you can let it all wash over you and just concentrate on you and your horse.
 
hi LW - after reading this so glad you have come back - think i am too new to have seen all the progress updates but looking forward to your new thread! One of these days i will post a vid of me riding and then people will really have something to moan about!! :)
 
another one pleased to see you back. herbie is looking great and im looking forward to more updates .....you are very brave to post videos and dont let negative comments stop you as i (and lots of others) love seeing how you have progressed..you must be doing something right as herbie has improved so much so keep up the good work...

Ha! If I post up a video of my attempts, I suspect there would be pitchforks involved, never mind criticising! But hey, I'm amazing at slamming into the ground/arena fence/mounting block...;)
