What has happened to Prince FLuffy Kareem on facebook?

I check on Prince fluffy Kareem most days by clicking on their public facebook page.
When I do it now it redirects me to join facebook :(
Have they made the page private now? I can still visit other public pages on facebook.
Is this just facebook being difficult?? I have no desire to sign up to them.
 
Hi - there is a new ( temporary) PFK page as apparently there was some legal issue ( I believe because some other charity was stirring things up?) - I would cut and paste what Marte/Emma put up but my facebook isn't working for some reason. If you go to the Prince Fluffy Kareem Supporters page I'm sure there a link to the new page there?

Your guess is the same as mine :wink3: The other bunch are wackos if you ask me and it's a shame their jealousy/envy/trouble-making has caused PFK big problems.

PFK posted a few days ago that they were having trouble with the other rescue and that they had been raided by the police. All sounded quite unnerving to be quite honest.

They posted three hours ago, things are even more dire, they were raided again and although nothing was found they appear to have ceased operations for a while and have had to send the horses home. Although they have stated that this is not the end, I really feel for them :(

TEHP has also been raided by the police.(Last week). They intimidated one of the valued members of staff so much that he has now left. Which is a terrible shame. Also, the staff have been followed and photographed by these bunch of local women.
 
I dont understand :( Surely there are more than enough horses needing help for two charities to exist side by side quite happily?

I am an admin for TEHP and we are NOT the other charity that caused PFK trouble. If you read Marte's original message you will see she says that PFK and another charity were raided by police. TEHP was the other charity raided as well......

Ash messaged Marte and offered any help and Marte said at the moment all was fine and thanked her.

We are all trying our best for horses and donkeys in Egypt and we still do not know why we were raided twice either.

From what I gather (I follow both charities on FB) they're both under attack from another (not specifically horsey) animal charity in Egypt which is also run by Western women. I think it's because these women think that they're not doing any long-term good (rehabilitating horses who can never work again and have no 'forever home' waiting due to the nature of the country) however from what I've read only a few can never work again and they are keeping those, the main bulk of their work is providing advice and first aid to locals, and it seems like the people attacking them are doing so out of some strange sense of control they want over charities in the area. I notice they haven't targeted any big ones like the Brooke who may be better equipped to press charges etc. All very odd. I hope both charities manage to get through it without further stress and loss of valued staff.

Hi Spring Feather,

We are not wacko's and in fact are the other charity that got raided along with PFK (as stated by Marte). Ash has messaged Marte when it first happened to see if she needed any help. It should be about the horses not the very 'bashing' you were accusing us of on here.

By the way, MJ is well and fit.
