( obviously I am going to get the vet out to investigate further)
I led my boy out of the filed shelter this morning and it was immediately obvious he was lame on his near hind. as he walks the leg is kind of coming under him and his left hip is slightly lower than his right. to get him into the barn he had to go down a hill and he really struggled, also really struggles to turn. he has no cuts or bruises, no heat, completely clean all over so doesn't appear to have fallen over, except for mud on his nose?! not really sure what he has done, whether he has pulled a muscle high up in his thigh or hip? he is weight baring on his leg, but not keen to move much.
has any one else experienced this? he is now on box rest so he doesn't has to move too much or do any slopes. checked on him 30 minutes ago, and still the same, but no worse and he is eating fine.
