I have a white Troxel, which is great in summer as it has air vents and reflects the heat. It may mean my head looks like a boiled egg, but comfort comes first
same as winter really-fleece ANKY headband to keep hair off face round the yard and whilst schooling at home.
Vented GPA for hacking or lessons @ trainers yard (where hats are a must, fine by me,other peoples rules etc).
Onboard I always wear a hat. In winter I have a nice fleecy one and in summer a baseball hat for general mooching around.
However, due to chemo I am now learning that being totally bald means I have to look after head a lot more. Unless is is very warm, I now have a beanie, and if sunny I wear a buff or a bandana and sometime have my baseball hat on top to keep the sun off my face.
Only time my head is exposed is if I am inside and it is very warm as bald heads also have a horrible way of sweating loads so it runs down your face - yuk. Can't wait to finish chemo and get my hair back again for that reason alone. Still I am saving loads in shampoo and hair cuts and it is very easy to look after - quick wash, polish with towel and done in seconds
around the yard i don't wear a hat.. my head gets too hot and it would annoy me!
for riding i always wear a hat though. either gpa speed air if it's sunny or my hat that doesn't have big holes in it for when it's raining
