Out of curiosity, I try most of what I feed to them - the only thing I like is Cider Vinegar - very nice, refreshing drink when you add hot water 
Was just discussing this with my 10 year old at the weekend, telling him what I used to eat at his age when I was at the yard and 'starving' but still had ages to go until being picked up.
Main staples back then were:
Locust beans were my favorite. Yum.
Equivite milk pellets.
Flaked maize.
Micronised flaked barley.
Molassed sugar beet, only if I was desperate as it was a bit gritty.
And when it came out, Bailey's bread meal was a nice change![]()

Idiotpony always goes crazy trying to shove his nose into his Kevin Bacon, its made me really curious to try it myself. Resisted temptation so far!
Pony nuts, conditioning cubes, likkit (before the horse!) and ummm hoof oil![]()
It was by accident! Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I thought!
