Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and looking for some insight!

I have just recently got a beautiful addition to my family, a sweet little 19month old TB mare.
She was measured today, and at 19months she is standing at exactly 15h..
Any idea what height she should make?
Dam was a 16.2h, sire was a 16.1h.

Have included a photograph also, is definitely croup high!

I had a TB who was 16.3hh as a 3 year old and finished growing/filled out when she was 6. Ended up at 17.2hh. Her sire was 17hh, not sure about the dame tho.

Would like to think she will make her parents height.

I would imagine about 15.2-3, but why don't you try the string test? This has proved to be 99% accurate with my own foals and young horses over many years. Here's how you do it: take a piece of string (or even a handy lead rope) and place one end on the point of the elbow, the other on the ergot. Keeping the elbow end in place, swing the rope straight up over the wither following the contour of the shoulder - that's how high your horse will be.
