What Horse Breeds Do You Own And What Are Your Favorites?

I have a fell x, a tb x connie and a tank of a cob.
Type wise I prefer my tb x, but maintenance wise the cob and fell win hands down!

Another vote for Welshies from me. My mare is a beautiful bay section D. I love 'catkin's comment about them living in a parallel universe - brilliant. I often refer to mine as my Thelwell pony - short, fat, hairy and opinionated. And Perfect.

My favorite is 'different' - anything I've not dealt with before.

I've got two at the moment.

Henry is a Clydesdale cross with huge loose movement and huge cheeky character, only 15.2 but looks mostly Clyde. His motto is 'forward, forward, forward'.

Rizzle is a quarter horse paint, and I'm waiting for the stud to tell me what his mother is. So pretty red and splashed white, so immature, so insecure, so slow to learn. Like no horse I have ever met before. His motto is 'backward, backward, backward'.

I'm in my element, two new experiences and such different challenges each time I ride !

I have a reg mini Shettie, a reg New Forest, an Exmoor x New Forest, a Welsh x Haflinger, a Shettie x miniature horse and her two babies who had a sec A father (I did not put her to a sec A stallion, I got her when she was in foal with the 2nd one and the older one was an unhandled yearling).

I have no time or space for any more but if I did I would like a donkey (or 2 ;) ), a retired racehorse and a big built like the side of a barn show cob.

I share a highland and a highland x friesian. My go-to favourite is a Clydesdale, but Irish Drafts are also up at the top of the list. I seem to be attracted to Belgian Warmbloods too, not sure why (I've certainly never ridden anything close to a warmblood - yet!)

My fave breed is a proper welsh d... But I'd never own another one... Due to their tendency to laminitis...

I own a gypsy cob, welsh a , 2 Shetlands and a holsteiner.

2x Thoroughbreds 1xISH(allegedly) I think its more of an ID/TBx something spotty
I think I would like a full Irish Draft or a Normandy Cob. Would never own another TB, though I love them dearly

I have 2 minis, a haffy and a welsh d. After 7 years of a haffy the welsh d is a revelation to me, so easy in every way. So by default I am an absolute fan of welshies

Me and my daughter started with a gypsy cob, which we still have but then have a welsh A, a Welsh B and a Welsh D x cob, in the past we have also had a Welsh C, a welsh A and a Shetland.
I think we like welshies lol

5 horses, all different breeds. But then I guess they all do different jobs.
1 Arab X stockhorse
1 Standardbred
1 Connemara
1 Anglo (68.75% Arab)
1 Welsh X Arab X something or other.
I don't buy breeds I buy horses and I love a bargain, but my faves would have to be Standardbreds for their temperament and their "try", and Arabs because I ride endurance. I do have a soft spot for the Stockhorse though as they can turn a hoof to anything.

I currently have a Connemara x TB and a little Welsh cross.

My favourite breed will always be a Thoroughbred (preferably a seal bay mare with a pretty head), but I do like them crossed with something else on a practical level - the difference in maintenance between my current cross and my old TB mare is pretty dramatic!

I have an Irish Draught and I absolutely LOVE them. Smart, clever, kind, very uncomplicated, can sometimes a bit lazy but is honest as the day is long. I had a lovely Connemara pony when I was young and just love the Irish breeds.

Clydesdale x TB. Good old fashioned hunter AKA galloping sofa.
Daughter has a British riding pony, looks like a mini TB.
