Just curious really, i am a bit nosy in general :D

Blue (we mainly hack out, with bits and bobs in the "school") always wears overreach boots and front brush boots as he is often so busy looking and nosying up drive ways etc around he has a little trip :D

Back brush boots if planning to canter / work a bit harder

What about you ? :) x

bog standard brushing boots for schooling and brushing boots or tendon/fetlock boots with overreach boots for polework/jumping. Short hacks, sometimes nothing, sometimes boots and for long hacks over rough ground boots and or boots too as my horse is also clumsy!

My pony isn't a huge fan of boots so he only gets them on if he's likely to have a 'ping' or if we're going xc (4 brushing boots and sometimes over reach)
My mums horse is soo specific with his boots- he's clumsy! Always has over reach boots on because he's prone to treading on himself and pulling shoes (even in walk round the arena!) he also has puffy fetlocks so has to have boots all round or he brushes. He has brushing boots on the front and fetlock boots on the back, because brushing boots rub his splint . He has extra thick all-round boots for xc.

Ah bless your Mum's horse :D some of them are so fussy hey :P

Mine wears brushing boots front and back for hacking and tendon boots for jumping with strike area as little paranoid front and back, will wear tendon boots out hacking if am going to canter just because we have quite stoney areas in woods etc and little stones can get between brushing boots if not careful so if going those places will use tendon boots. and if xc will wear xc boots he does walk like a concused crab though for about 5 minutes with these on as they reach a little higher than normal boots!

This is about to change! on my current lad he wears
Hacking: hoof boots on front for with hi viz leg wraps (not padded).
Jumping: XC boots front and back with overreach for the fronts
Schooling: nada :)

New boy, arriving Sat:
Hacking: Brushing boots and leg wraps front and behind
Schooling: Brushing boots front and behind
Jumping: Xc boots front and behind with overreach for fronts

Without fail brushing and over reach boots as he's very clumsy. For hacking my standard black brushing boots get changed for my nice Woof Wear brushing boots with high viz velcro straps. Haven't braved jumping him yet so not sure whether we'll change if/when we give it a go.

Schooling those funny wrap things.

Hacking pro lite XC boots.

Jumping tri zone tendon and fetlock boots

XC - premier equine front and back boots and Dalmar over reach boots.

My gelding wears brushing boots all around because he brushes & he's also ridiculously clumsy!
Mare wears (woof) brushing boots all around for hacking/schooling as she's a speed/spook freak who has a lot of tants and tangles her legs up a lot and I don't want her bashing herself! She wears over reach boots for fast work and jumping - but has to have fluffies because everything else rubs her delicate skin ;) Tendon/fetlocks for jumping, have some premier equine event boots for XC.

Overreach boots in the field - this is a new thing since he has his eggbars put on . . . those things are too flipping expensive for him to be ripping him off every five minutes and he's a) so short in the back; and b) such a nutcase that he has a natural overtrack anyway - never mind when he's acting the maggot.

Overreach in front and either bandages or brushing boots behind when doing fast work in the school or out hacking.

Tendon boots all round for jumping (and now overreach in front).

P

Hacking - westropp knee/brushing boots with woof wear brushing boots behind. I would never hack out without knee boots on, it surprises me how few people use them.

Schooling and jumping, very rarely put boots on at home.
