My least favorite is rugging... I really dislike it right now due to all the mud. I have to scrape off layer after layer of mud (I keep telling myself its mud, anyway) just to get the clips off, then fling soaking wet muddy rugs onto the wall to 'dry'. Then start over with dryish filthy rugs the next morning. Ugh.

Favorite (apart from riding of course) is grooming/feeding.

I hate, hate, hate filling haynets/ (or old feed sacks in my case) and soaking hay - it's a shame he has RAO and I seem to be constantly soaking hay! I also dislike rugging/derugging for all the same reasons as the original poster - especially when you are wearing a clean/semi clean top or you were planning on popping into somewhere non-horsey on the way home! Guarantee it will happen everytime I need to pop into Tesco for some milk on the way home! :D

I like grooming, making feeds and oddly enough, sweeping. :D

i dont really mind any except for doing the water from my bathroom when it`s freezing conditions.

Lol! I was going to say I hated poo picking in the rain until I read this /\
I too had to fill water buckets, from the downstairs bathroom, when my outside taps froze. What a pain in the a$$ it was! Roll on spring! :D

Filling up Haynets!!! Hate, hate HATE it. There's always a bit of irritating string that gets caught in the haynet and in removing it all the hay gets pulled back out, or the haynet gets in a knot or I worry i've put too much hay in, or not enough... Then there are the bits of hay that stick to my jumper and make me itch, or get stuck in my hair and the bits that fall into my wellies and cover my socks arrggggghhh am feeling quite distressed just thinking about it!

There should be a 'like' button for this, as you have just summed up my feelings exactly! :D

Poo picking! I will avoid a livery yard like the plague if I hav to poo pick even just in the summer! Because guarenteed the fields will be 598038403289 acres big (maybe a bit of an exaggeration) with lon grass so not only you have to poo pick and heave trug buckets and wheel barrows everywhere, but you have to SEARCH for the p*ssing poo in the first place!!!!! Phew rant over

Ditto on the haynets!
Love = first bath of the summer
Love = sending the rugs off to be cleaned (you know it's really summer then!!)
Funny one is clipping.....start off all enthusiastic about using my numerous selection of exercise sheets esp the lovely newmarket one and getting off the winter coat and by the time the hair is stuck to my contact lenses, my face and somehow worked it's way through to my bloomin bra (no matter how many layers on top)....am totally fedup with it about an hour later!!

Clipping when it has to be done i hate it with a passion, so itchy hairs everywhere i have to go straight home after and jump in bath change colthes and still manage to find hairs in odd places.

Clipping (particularly the second clip, horrible short hair!), with carrying water buckets coming in close second. I don't even know why, but I've always hated doing waters.

We have automatic drinkers but as my nag thinks his is an en suite, I've had to switch it off and give him buckets

My favourite job is banking up straw beds when it is nice clean straw :D Everyone else hates it but i LOVE it :)

I have 3 dislikes :o ;)

1) Rugging up in the winter
2)Making up the hards feeds (I think it's the 101 supplements!)
3)Filling up haynets of steamed hay. I can't bear the smell of steamed hay, it makes me want to choke!

Love:
Tack cleaning
Grooming
Plaiting the mane
Pulling Mane
Washing/bathing
Doing feeds

Hate:
Mucking out (though only since I got a bad back)
Filling Haylage nets - I get red itchy bits on my forearms

Basically I love most things, I love poddling about on the yard doing 'stuff'

At the moment I HATE poo picking. We have really heavy clay soil which is extremely waterlogged so it's near impossible to walk and you can only half fill a wheelbarrow if you want any hope of getting it to the muck heap from the field!!! In the summer, though, it's unloading the car after an event, as I'm tired and just want to put pony out and make sure he's ok and not tack clean and neatly rearrange everything :p

poo picking in any weather. Luckily have OH who doesnt mind poo picking. I love mucking out, I get really fussy about my banks and sweeping the front of the stable. Can't wait for Samba to go on livery. :D

Also hate putting up electric fencing with my mother. Its the only time we are ever at each others throats but my god we fight when doing electric fencing. After many years Toffee has learnt not to come over when doing the fencing.

I actually like nearly all of them - even mucking out and poo picking! :p I don't like haying up, as the seed end up going down my wellies and sticking to my socks!

Hate pulling manes, clipping and dealing with wet muddy rugs.
Like hoof oiling hooves and putting clean bedding in stables.

Got many more but those are the first ones that came to mind.

I'm another member of the 'haynet filling' club lol. I use the big round bales and often they won't come apart easily and you can only pull measly little handfulls off it. It takes aaaaages to fill the sodding nets when it does that!!!

I don't mind mucking out as the bedding I use is really easy to work with.

me too!

i thought i was the only one! i absolutely hate it- takes me ages and its even worse when you cant get the hay off the bale arrrrrgh!!

HATE: - anything to do with rugs (especially when there are 90 to sift through that have all mysteriously changed places during the day and lost there tags)
- cleaning bottoms

LOVE: - tack cleaning (with friends and the radio on)
-making up feeds

And i dont particularly mind poo-picking especially if it gets me out of doing rugs :p
