What 'horsey chores' do you excel at in particular?

Personally, I'm very good at pulling manes

However, I'm a useless tack cleaner, and cannot clip to save my life! My mum is an expert clipper, and she's pretty darn good at plaiting too!

My OH is also wonderful at mucking out, unfortunately for him...

I am an obsessive sweeper

I cannot leave the yard with so much as a single shavings flake on it, and I also square off the front of her bed with the broom

I am a terrible mane puller but I have a hairy native so I've never had to learn

Good at grooming, tack cleaning and sweeping... Feign illness when asked to clip, poo pick or pull manes...

Again OH is very good at mucking out... coincidence?

how cool! my SJ trainer's dad showed me how to do that...i did it for a while but gave up eventually! does look lovely, though - I believe a lot of the racing yards still do it!

My tacking and harnessing up cant be beaten for speed :P

But for anything that needs a perfectionist/artist/steady hand ie.Grooming mucking out plaiting or clipping im a no hoper.

Cleaning tack and restoring it too; love it; should have taken it up as a career I think! Also plaiting for hunting/showing. A quick brush is fine but I'm not too keen on proper grooming though but I also like and not too bad at clipping!

Im good at pulling manes and tails which is sometimes a curse as I get calls all summer and winter to pull for comps or hunting depending on the season

I am freakish about beds. have to be proper square banks, thick flat fluffy bed and squared off fronts
everyone laughs but it makes me feel good to see it like that.

Clipping, and general tidy up of the horse. Eg, pulling manes trimming feathers, tails wiskers ect.

Just call me an equine beauty therapist!

I'm good at plaiting, pulling manes and tails, can do argie knots better than the argies (mine never come down and don't need tape!). I like perfect beds, and am absolutely anal when eventually find time to clean tack. But give me a broom and I'm absolutely 100% bloody useless!

I'm quite good at catching 'tricky' horses.

Also good at SPEED mucking out in winter (9 beds in a hour is my record). I like fiddly grooming like clipping and pulling manes but I hate routine grooming and will run for cover if boss asks me to do a sales prep. I don't have the patience for it. Can't pull tails at all - would love to know how.

My name is Henry1997 and I am a tackcleanaholic

Serious, I obsess over it. My saddle takes me well over an hour and my bridle even longer!

I'm also picky about Henry's bed, it must be deep, well packed together, the banks must reach up to the top of the third line of bricks
blush.gif
, with the front squared off... Then Henry just trashes it anyway...
