It's my birthday and I am bored at work! So browsing the under £1000 sections on various horse's for sale websites (dangerous game) I came across this http://www.adhorse.co.uk/horseforsale_54477.html
She seems very sweet and there is something about her I like. However in the video she doesn't seem very comfortable. Could be not being in frequent work etc but would like to know what you guys think?

NB this is purely for entertainment purposes. I already have a broken tb :)

Well she looks almost sway backed, the saddle is too small (by the looks of it) and badly placed, and poorly ridden.

All makes for a rather unpleasant picture I agree.

My assessment would be: Green, unfit, unbalanced and consequently a bit gobby. Lots to like about her, but I wonder a; why a 9 year old is so green, and b; why she's so cheap

I like her and agree with others - very unbalanced and very green for her age. Perhaps she was a broodmare with previous owners, just guessing as these owners said they intended to breed from her.
Cheap? - well look at the market - there are a lot of lovely horses for sale and this one needs some time and work putting in so a fair price imo.

I'd want her vetted, I can't see why she's so cheap. The rider is very quiet and sympathetic in the video and she's still arguing and struggling, so bear in mind however she looks there will be her at her current best...

I think she could be very smart though, with some work.

I think she is very likeable and would agree a green and unbalanced 9yr old is not going get a lot in this market. I hope she finds a good home!

I would like to see her ridden by a rider with a quieter pair of hands , the back shape/ weakness could just indicate that she been a brood mare and might well correct with the right sort of work .
I dont think she's cheap I think the sellers are realistic I would want to try to find out how long they had her and what she did before that and of coursei would want her vetted but she might well make a fun project for someone.
Older projects can be great fun because you can just crack on.

Horse looks a bit straight leged in its movement behind like stiff or uncomfortbale i hips maybe pelvis issues i thought the head bobing and movement looked like it was down to discomfort and pain rather than being unbalanced and green but am no pro but really didn't seem to be moving freely behind took alot of nigling from rider to get moving and was very choppy about uping her gaits (could be down to rider/training but looked like horse found it difficult to me). I think cheap and sold as broodmare origionalyl for a reason someone realsied she had a physical flaw didnt want to look into resolving or couldnt and sold as a broodmare instead of riding horse because of it

I can see why you like the look of her, she looks very sweet.
Why isn't she a novice ride I wonder? She looks well behaved in the school.
Maybe no good at hacking out?

To me, green or not, and unbalanced as she is, she doesn't look very stable through her back end. I have watched the video twice, and the second time I covered up her front end and the rider. Riding on a poor school surface won't help, I agree, but nevertheless I didn't feel confident that she was able to move properly.

Her hind steps are small with very little track up, and that off hind has a slightly mechanical look about it. I would think that even with a green horse, you would expect to see a better placing of her hind feet and more freedom from the SI region.

But then again, I am hypersensitive to these things and could just be seeing things that aren't really there.

Hawks27 it's the back legs that bothered me. Her stride seems very short and uncomfortable but again that could be the riding

I really think you need to see them in the flesh to assess what you think about that sort of movement .
The rider is so focused on the front end it could easily account for the less than brillant look behind when added to the fact she's looks physically weak.

Very on the forehand, being socked in the mouth can't help her way of going. I think with work she could be a very nice horse.

I'd come across her, not on that site so they must be advertising her pretty hard.

Very nice sort & might make something with the right work, however, the back end really worried me, she almost looks like two different horses. She's very downhill although hopefully that would improve with correct work.

Be interested to hear what you think if you go & see her, i was tempted, luckily she's a long way from me :-)

Don't buy with a vetting!!
