What if your horse doesnt sell?

If horse is as good as he sounds then he sounds sell easily.

But sounds like the person at the yard isn't going a thorough enough job.

Id more him to a different yard.
One with a better selling record/ technique.

Hi,

How are you advertising at the moment? Photos are great if good quality but I feel the best way to show a potential buyer a horses quality is with video - esp. if they are willing to travel.

Open a you tube account and film him:

1. Jumping, short course, highers, logs, water or whatever.
2. Schooling in all paces, if he can do a dressage test include that too.
3. On the ground, being led, fed, fussed, feet picked, rugged, farrier (if he's due and you can get).
4. Being ridden by another rider, jumping, schooling etc.

Load the footage onto you tube and include that in your ads - a normal camera video is fine - camcorder better.

Also, look at local riding clubs on facebook - advertise him there - include links to your you tube page.

Hope this helps xxx

What about just putting him on diy near uni till spring then re-advertising. Or proper sales livery in spring. And ditto it doesn't matter what similar horses are advertised for, you need to find out what similar horses are actually selling for. Potential only sells if you have a way of proving it too, such as breeding, clearly working at a much higher level at home etc, or at least showing the ability clearly at home.
