My cob was diagnosed with an 'allergy' when he started with respiratory problems a couple of years ago after a endoscopy revealed excessive amounts of mucus in his throat, inflammation to his lungs and a high level of inflammatory cells in his lung wash. He was given a flixotide inhaler, which didn't make much of a difference and at £100 an inhalerI have had to find alternative things to help him out.

I'm just curious to know what inhalers you all use and whether they work??!

As you say flucortisone inhalers are very expensive and to be honest don't really work any differently to beclometasone inhalers, which are a fraction of the price. Might be worth asking your vet about these and discussing whether to alter the dosage before giving up on inhaled steroids completely.
