I used to hiss (very quietly, I hasten to add) at my daughter in Inhand classes......"Wake him up! He's gone to sleep and his willy has fallen out!"
I saw one little tot in a child handlers class once with an ancient shetland the pony lay down, flat out and the mother was beside me, she didn't say anything to the child but she did say to me "Oh ***k the bloody thing has died!" Everybody was too busy laughing to give any ringside comments, there was a round of applause when the Judge got it on its' feet again though.
People who think they can "sort" your horse out if it has a problem, implying it's because you're hopeless.
People who don't do the very basics with their horses, ie jabs, wormers, teeth, shoes, schooling, manners.
Flapping legs (rider, not horse).
Vice-like rein contact.
Horses trussed up like turkeys in every imaginable gadget.
People who turn up once a week, ride their horses but never spend any time just grooming or fussing them. (then wonder why they've got no bond with their horse)
Oh jeez you have just made me laugh out loud here!! When I came to Canada I spent an awfully long time searching for my fog light switches on my truck. Turns out it is illegal to have rear fog lights in Canada.......now if that isn't silly then I don't know what is.

I'm sure I'll think of plenty more.....
And of course, I'm perfect!!!!

I didn't realise you'd seen my management and riding techniques. You forgot to mention my 'Saw and kick' technique for a soft outline.

Why is it illegal? Would the fog lights blind the banjo players and dingo-style dogs sitting in your pickup?

people who look down on adults riding ponies - big big big annoyance
people who think coloured horses are so special - all they are are brown or black horses with white bits that get dirty
people who treat a horse as a fashion accessory and spend more time/money buying it 'things' than tending to it's real needs of shoes/wormers/food
compensation culture in regard to horse riding - if you ride a horse you are bound to - some time or other - fall off it - so accept that fact or go and ride a bike.

Ditto, people who don't help novices, or who look down on people for not having a 17hh Tb or WB. No one is so good they can't hit the decks backside first

This is the thrid time I have noticed a reference to other peoples' larger horses in your posts, and I haven't been looking - just noticing. I get the impression you feel you are not taken as seriously as someone who rides. That may be the case where you live, but it isn't on here.
Does anyone get annoyed with the way someones stirrups are? Ive seen people ride with stirrups so long that their heels go up.
Im not a brillant rider and i know it, i only give advice if asked. Im still learning everyday and i dont have a problem asking for help.
Thin bedding annoys me too, just cause the person is too lazy to clean a good bed out.
People who self treat a horse when they arent sure what they are doing, i seen it happen to a lovely tb mare, she later died. A d@@@@@@d for telling me i should breed the hell out of my mares, said she should be having a foal every year!
At the last yard i witnessed a full grown man ride a mini shettie, he was punching it because it wouldnt canter!! When it was standing he would wrap his legs around its front legs and pull back so the thing fell. If he was in a bad mood he would punch and kick the thing!
Ex owners who tell me my foal wont make much over 11hh even though her mum is 14.1hh and sire was 15.2hh. Only said because he wanted to buy the foal
Keeping the horses at home we don't get much interference or irritation to deal with, which is lovely. What really does annoy me though is seeing someone beating a horse in a jumping competition, nearly always for no good reason, and worse still, giving it a good leathering after exiting the ring. That makes me see red.

Same here. We saw one girl fall off at HOYS and the look on her face as she snatched at the horses reins and stomped out. You just knew she was wanted to give it a good smacking.

But it's hard not to look down on adults riding ponies...if you're tall on a tall horse
And I didn't know bikes were guaranteed not to deck you as I've had a few badly behaved ones buck me off.

People who show off and brag about how "difficult" their horse is to make themselves seem like a better rider or excuse the fact they can't ride for crap.
Spoilt brats who have gorgeous expensive ponies, and do nothing but complain and make the parents do all the mucking out/feeding/hard work.

People who think that their way is the only way and look down on or bitch about others who do things differently or do not come up to their high standards

or their low standards
i.e my YM for actually saying she'd show me how to muck out my stable
Her complaint was that I must be chucking out too much bedding as my mares bed was >>> TOO CLEAN

And in the same vein, parents weho are stupid enough to DO the mucking out / feeding / hard work and allow said spoilt brats to carry on their atrocious behaviour. Why not just, oh, I dunno, SELL the pony if the child won't take any responsibility for it?

Geography not your strong suit, then?
Everyone knows it's because they blind the sled dogs.
Very little irritates me. Obviously you're all sweetness and light here - this thread proves it.
