WHAT IRRITATES YOU THE MOST

No horsey people annoy me, those who say they dont understand people who horse ride when they have never been on a horse!!!!

This thread.

There are a lot of small minded, ignorant comments on this thread - I'm glad that you are all so perfect.

DD I dont think anyone is saying they are perfect, just what irritates them? things must get on your nerves too, or are you a hippy free loving hugging the needy kinda gal?

-people that judge you
-that wet pony smell (might just be my horse lol

)
-someone dumping a big wheelbarrow full of muck at a random point at the bottom of the muck heap when you spend 10hours stepping it
-people that don't get off there horse when they are "resting" it at a show
-people calling izzy an it or a he lol
-when i don't have enough time to spend with my neddies

i think that will do for today lol

People who stable their horses for crappy reasons! Especially those who stable them permanently - Drives me absolutely nuts! Horses were NOT designed to live in a flipping shoe box!

Parents who over-bit their kids ponies in Dutch Gags "just in case".

People who buy a horse after having a couple of lessons. And rich people who buy a horse who is TOTALLY unsuitable for them!

Show Jumpers who enter the warm up arena with a mob of grooms who then proceed to hog the practice fences wacking them up every single time THEIR horse has jumped it - sod everyone else!

bad hands sawing away on the horses mouth.
floppy lower legs and spurs !!!!
Riding in wellies and tracky bottoms.
People who are too proud to ask for help.
Walking away and leaving a huge steaming pile of poo on the yard.
loose dogs/barking dogs.
know it alls.

People who criticise before finding out why so and so is rugged, or in, or out, or wears that bit, or this gadget. If you can open your mouth to bitch, open it to ask why first! You may either learn something, or help someone who knows no better.

I really like you Enfys. No really. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what time your 12 yo goes to bed for example...look - I'm yawning in sympathy

I wish I was as kind, exciting, knowledgeable as you. Ah well.

Ground: People who do not establish good groundwork - tying horses up to be groomed, skipped out for example. It really gets my goat when people are skipping out etc and are shouting at the horse for trying to barge out the stable for example - just tie the bloody thing up!

[/ QUOTE ]

We never tie up at work, takes too long, but none barge or are rude in anyway and always move over etc with a simple 'over'.

People who hog the warm up area/fence.
Pushy parents that enter their kids into everything even though they are scared and can't control their pony.
People who look down on you because you are on a cob.
People not willing to learn/improve.
I'm sure there are more

People who "over-size" their horses. You know, the ones that tell you their horse is 16.2hh but when you actually get to see it, the animal is, at the most 15hh!

People who try and kid you they know EVERYTHING there is to know about horses but have to travel them tacked up from their (full) livery yard because they haven't got a clue how to do it themselves (yes, I know someone who is exactly like that!) They are also * ahem * "vertically challenged" and have to have a step-ladder (yes, honestly) to get on the horse too but are so knowledgeable they couldn't possibly consider riding anything less than 17hh,my dear . . . oh dear no . . .

Yup. I agree with this.

People who muck out and leave the wheelbarrow half full while they ride or even go off somewhere. Empty the thing straight away!!

[/ QUOTE ]

huh. i do this all the time. i put the bed up and then leave wheelbarrow in the stable until i pull the bed down and and can put all the extra bits of poo that fall down in it. dont see what the prob is as its my wheelbarrow.

argh keyboard not working properly hence no caps or punctuation.

my annoyance is at people that think all horses can go out twenty four hours all year round. mine cant. i know hes a horse and should be ok but why make him miserable when he will just drop weight and get anxious. i know most horses would prefer it given half the chance mines just not one of them.

hating no punctuation cant even do smilies grrrrr.

Actually, I fell asleep on the sofa and she woke me up at 10.30 to say she was off to bed and that I wasn't to forget to put the dogs out! See what an exciting life I lead? Not.

As for the rest, you have me confused with someone else!
