what is a BVA/2 stage mortality cert

Its a very basic vetting certificate that basically confirms the horse is alive, no obvious illness, disease or abnormality, check teeth and eyes, etc. I downloaded it from the BEVA website for my vet, but don't seem to be able to do that anymore.
Unfortunately probably to stop insurance fraud.

It isnt scottish equestrian by any chance???

they asked me for this on my renewal, i called them and asked them if they were going to pay for it as the hrse had been insured by them since I bought him and handed them a 5stage vetting nearly ten years ago

Call them and ask them WHY they suddenly need it, I did and now I dont need it they said it was their mistake.

I had to have one for my weanling, Pet Plan wouldn't insure without it. Vet came out and checked basics, eyes, heart etc and filled in a form, it cost me about £40 + call out. Not all insurers asked for one, but Pet Plan did.
