What is acceptable play for pup and older dog?

As the title says really.

Boo is now 9 weeks old - JRT
Moss is 5 years old - Border collie.

They appear to get on really well but pup wants to snap at older dogs face - they wrestle but its very 'mouthy' and pup growls at older dog.

I have always had dogs from pups but never had 2 dogs at the same time so not sure what to let them do when playing together.

I have been letting them have a wrestle but stop it when it looks like its getting rough.

They play 'tug' with a toy and older dog is very gentle and basically just holds the toy while pup pulls with all her might - but them pup gets frustrated and snaps at bigs dogs face so she lets go.

Any help would be appreciaited.

I've always let mine just get on with it. The older dog needs to learn to put a stop to play that is to rough.

Doesn't sound OTT to me either, re two dogs playing with the one toy, I would try and limit that, it's how proper fights break out. YOU play with the dogs and the toy, not them with the toy. Wrestling, mouthing, mouthing off, is all fine with me.
