Im taking gcse P.E and have to show some basic school movements..
The sylabus is fairly simple so im guessing nothing fancy:
1. Mounting up and setting off/halting/dismounting
2. Walking/trotting/cantering
3. Transitions – increase/decrease in pace
4. Simple turning/cornering
5. Basic jumping/school movements

So what sort of things would you suggest? I suppose im looking for some sort of guidelines really!
Thanksss :)

I would interpret it as circles, serpentines, changes of rein etc - the sort of things you see in a prelim dr test...

Basic movements would include 20 metre circles, serpentines, changing the rein across the diagonal and down centre line. You could also do turn on forehand or some leg yielding. If you run through a dressage test that would probably be ideal.
For the jumping I think you need to do 2ft 6in to 2ft 9in either SJ or XC.

Jumping is sorted, doing it on a pony ive been riding for a while now- fab jumper, only 12.3 and quite happily jumps the BE100 jumps at xc schooling and is a bit of a pro show jumper aswell.. her schooling used to be horrid, but its improved alot and am plucking up the courage to take her out to some dressage next year!

ok, thanks all :) i was just wondering how basic they meant- i was thinking along the same lines as everyone here really so thankss :) x
