WHAT IS IRAP

Hi, I've been recommended IRAP for a friend horse with arthritis but have never heard of it - help anyone??

My horse has had IRAP treatment, although not for arthritis. more to repair damage from major joint surgery and to prevent arthritis.

So far its been a great success.

My mare had this treatment this time last year for a ruptured collateral ligament within her coffin joint. If you have any questions id be happy to attempt to answer them from you. Id like to think that it has aided in her recovery so far - she will never be back to where she was before the injury but she had this and shockwave therapy to try and speed up the recovery process.

I think this is what my vet has recommended for my boy who has had an arthroscopy in both stifles this morning but he called it Isorap? I think!? My mind wasn't clear when they rang just pleased he recoevered from the general anaesthetic! The vet said about proteins etc and injecting it into the joint. Could this be the same thing?
