What is it about the smell of tack...

...in the tack room! I was taking great lungfuls of air in there today, in amongst the sweaty saddle cloths and brushing boots, next to the pongy saddles and bridles which REALLY need a clean (will happen Sunday!)

Is it a drug...??

Must be lol! Find myself on the bad days going to the tack room for a moment, but really I loved the smell of the leather (only the smell that horses tack has ) so getting a 'dose' of the tack room dose me some good haha

I love the smell at the yard! I have just taken my tack home (horse having the summer off) though and when I walked into my bedroom today the smell greeting me was not pleasant in any way! Tack cleaning and putting the garage tomorrow it is .

I hadn't seen my saddle for about 8 months while I have had my baby... I saw it last week and had to sniff it!!! Then touch it, then listen to the sound it makes when you adjust stirrups... Reminds me of being a kid at a riding school. Made me realise how much I want to get back on... but horse is lame
