I'm wondering if you guys could help me with a question. My Golden Retriever has, I guess the best way to describe it is, a dent in the top of his head. It's right in the centre and it curves in just slightly. Im just wondering what could have caused it? On a recent trip, the vet actually asked whether he'd ever run into the corner of a wall or a chair when he was little

It's never caused him any problems,I'm just rather curious about it.

Hmmm, are puppies born with soft skulls in the same way babies are? If so I can see your vets point about asking if he ever ran into anything. Sounds as though he's taken a blow to it when young and its left a slight dent. I imagine it would have had to be quite a bump though! Assuming you didnt breed him, I'd imagine this would have been likely to happen prior to you getting him because I think he would have been very young.

Obviously doesnt bother him so if I was you, I'd consider him unique
