A horse with any numbher of points from any level can enter I think. For example, a horse with 100 points/advanced horse could enter an OI but not an Intro
Yep, basically if a horse has gone Nov and got points, or won more than 3 PN's, or ridden by someone who has been round 3* within the last few years (cant remember exact no!) it is no longer eligible for Intro. So Open intro allows all of the above to compete instead of having to go HC which would be normal.
If you want to do something below Intro have a look at the training events - BE are doing a deal where you can have a ticket for £10 to do them as well.
An Intro and Open Intro are identical, apart from the fact that a horse that, say has been round Badminton, can only do an open intro. Its like OPN or Open Novice or Open Intermediate, there identical to there non-open counterparts, but horses can have any number of points/winnings and still compete non HC.
im doing stafford at the end of march. Its suppose to be a nice course. I did bold heath and he flew round there, but struggled over kelsall as it was at the end of the season and seemed quite big for intro height!!
