What is so great about Nuele Schule Bits?

Am thinking of getting one as i often hear people say how good they are, currently my lovely W/B dressage horse is in a loose ring french link, nothing wrong, but she really need a new bit as hers is getting old now, so i was wondering whether to get her a N/S. What are the pro's of this type of bit?
Also what one would be best/nearest to the loose ring french link? And where is the best place to buy a second hand one??

I've heard the metal is nicer as it warms in the horse's mouth. They also have a good customer service ! That's all I know :D
 
I had a NS Verbinded loose ring for my WB, but swapped for a straight bar happy mouth which he seems to like more!

They are great bits and suited to a lot of horses due to the metal Salox they use. It's warmer with a better taste which promotes a relaxed jaw.

If you're looking for 2nd hand there are always plenty on eBay :)
 
No idea, but my mare loves them!!

I had her in a loose ring lozenge when I first got her (5 year old, unschooled straight from Ireland) and then put her in a fulmer french link. Helped teaching her to steer, but was heavy in my hand. Put her in a Myler...... BIG mistake, she HATED it and took me a couple of months to get her happy again in her original fulmer. Then tried the NS Starter bit and no tantrums and lighter and more responsive to the hand. Recently put her in the Verbindend and wow! I LOVE it. So light and responsive and no tantrums so clearly she loves it too!!
 
The loose ring french link really suits my cob, i like the idea of the different widths of the bit and the sizing of the rings! cob has a rather large tongue so the thinner bit suited her better.
She goes well in it :)
 
My pony has never been particularly happy in his mouth despite trying lots of things and normally having him in a French link. I bought him one of these at the age of 23 and he was instantly happier, I wish they'd been around 20 years ago! I think it fits round his tongue and gums in a more comfortable manner. He now has the NS Starter bit. We only hack out but it's nice to know he's happy at last.

Haven't used them for a while, but they used to offer second hand and trial periods

Ive my mare in a Loose ring Fulmer which has really helped with steering.
She does at times however get very strong ( especially when out in a group ) - what would everyone recommend in the Nuele Schule range that may be slightly stronger than what I am currently using - she does also tend to lean a bit.
 
I am amazed at the difference with my horse, I had been riding him in a french link snaffle but we would always have to argue before he took the contact consistently, he would often back off it and the lightest touch would get an extreme response.

I then tried the NS team up (I think that is what it is called), it looks a bit like a french link so I didn't understand how it would be any different but he is like riding a different horse, he actually takes the contact and softens in it and is 100% more consistent. He is so happy 'taking the contact' that I may have to change it for faster hacking rides as he can be a bit strong in it outside the arena!
 
Mine is in a NS demi anky and is less fussy than in a standard french link. I bought it on ebay but they hold their value really well so didn't save much.

Daughters pony is getting more strong , so thought a Pelham would help , found out that the NS universal can have a Pelham Roundings, so in the ling run, has saved me money :)

They are worth every penny

My mare came in a French link Dutch gag, could be strong and leant terribly. She now has a NS Universal with 2 reins, is much lighter in the hand and, can mostly be ridden on the snaffle rein but I can use the curb rein effectively if she starts to get strong.

My lad came to me in a full cheek french link- went OK, but had a habit of snatching the reins, rubbing his face and generally being 'rude'- after the usual teeth, back and saddle checks, I decided on a whim one day to try changing his bit- bought a NS TeamUp and he LOVES it- rarely snatches now, and if he does it tends to be towards the end of a long ride when he's sweaty and tired, rather than literally every five minutes like before!

They do hold their value second hand too- especially 'barely used', so if you can't find a second hand one, or don't want to pay for the 30day trial from The Horse Bit Shop, you can always buy one and if yours doesn't like it, flog it on e-bay without loosing much.
