I’ve mentioned this before but despite always having low / no eggs seen worm counts AND always wormed in January anyway with Equest Pramox my 15yr old showed a high encysted reading on blood test. I’d blood tested because my other then 6yr old horse colicked after I gave him EP and subsequently unrelatedly had colic surgery so I’m extra careful.

My vets only offer the blood test for horses that have consistently low egg counts. I guess this is why.
