Would be grateful for any ideas...noticed my boy had torn his mw mark todd rug last night on the front leg arch. Not massive hole..just a rip that is likely to get bigger if i leave it - not really sure how to patch it up, i have heard of a glue on patch you can get, but not really sure what or where ..any ideas ?? thanks guys x x

I sew mine with linen thread as it's much stronger than normal cotton. I kept an old trashed rug to cut patches out of - we have some 'unique' rugs on the go!!!

Have you got an old rug you don't use anymore? I keep an old rug which I cut pieces out of & glue a patch over the rip, I use copydex glue which is fine.
You can buy rug patching kits but I don't bother, I don't care if my patch doesn't match the rug.

How big is it? For very small holes that are fine as they are but you don't want getting any bigger painting the edges with clear nail varnish works well. I mean really small holes though, less than 1cm.

I take mine to my saddlers and they patch them up good as new. I've never had a problem with the patched bit leaking or coming undone
