I call it snickering, I don't know what else to call it. Roo does it when I go to get her from the field and she's saying 'finally, feed me'
I don't even know how to describe it but its not a whinny or a neigh. LOL
Sorry to be so dense but I really can't think of any way of describing the noise

Is it whicker or flicker ? I wonder if either of these words are in the dictionary or if we have just made tham up lol !

off on a tangent here...Lina Makes this crazy snorting sound and sniffs my legs, she gets really close and her eyes go all funny- say if I'm stood on a bale platting up and she did it this week in the field to my new green wellys - it's very odd and makes me feel a bit uncomfortable/ gives me the giggles. A bit like my feet a scary or odd like when they see a bag blowing around on the floor- Non of my other horses have ever done it before
