Do you mean a working hunter saddle? If you do then the top working hunter riders use jumping saddles.
The working hunter saddles that you see advertised are a straighter cut saddle that is not really suitable for jumping fences of a decent height.

A hunter/jumper and jumping saddle are the same thing. I have a feeling you may be from the US - our hunting saddles are different from your hunter saddles.

I am from Africa actually. I am looking for a new jumping saddle and it is being advertised as a hunter/jumper saddle so I was wondering what is the difference. Yes sorry I mean hunter/jumper

Ah, sorry!
A hunter/jumper/jumping saddle has forward-cut flaps that should allow for a shorter stirrup length. The flaps usually have supportive padded knee rolls, too.

So it is basically the same as a jumping saddle and I don't need to worry about it bothering my mare as we do jump decent heights

Hunter jumper is a US discipline, jumping up to about 4' I believe, where turnout and style counts for a lot, the saddles are mostly very neat and usually continental close contact foam panelled jump saddles. Many will be used for both hunter jumper and for show jumping.

As above. Hunter/Jumper is American speak for showjumping basically. Hunter and Jumpers are actually two totally different disciplines but they group them together for ease and they use similar saddles.. Jumpers is showjumping, Hunters is basically showing over jumps up to 4ft. Popular hunter/jumper saddles are Antares, Butets, Devocoux, CWD's, Pessoas basically the same saddles European's use for showjumping so the saddle you are looking at is probably a similar style. If you like a monoflap jumping saddle with big blocks they call those 'event' saddles over here. GP's are called AP's.
