Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a veterinary partnership being BEVA or RCVS Accredited ? I would like this information as I am thinking of taking legal action against my veterinary partnership that is BEVA. Can I contact the RCVS? I hope you can help.

The RCVS = Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

BEVA = British Equine Veterinary Assciation

All vets are members of the RCVS (hence why all vets are MRCVS - member royal college of vet surgeons) you have to be to practice in this country. BEVA is an association that you join if you want to specialise in horses, they run courses and conferences for equine vets. If you have a complaint against any vet then you need to contact the RCVS.

Hope this clears it up for you!
