You can't include your horse

A cheltenham gag with english leather cheeks. It was only £15 so i bought it because they are normally so expensive. That was about 12 years ago and ive never used it! I didnt need it when i bought it, just bought it because it was cheap and you never know..

A bitless bridle made of webbing material - it just slipped around the face no matter how I adjusted it - not much fun when your heading for home! I did manage to make a slight profit when I sold it so I can't complain.

Ex full size very expensive travel boots. Never used them as daft horse wont box, had him 10 years and the boots too!!! Was born where he is now, and looks like he will end his days there. Cost me 75quid

A Rhino Runna which is a tubular metal wheelie thing for buckets of water.

(a) they are unstable with a full bucket, and the motion of wheeling it makes the water slosh everywhere,
(b) when you reach the stable you have to lift the bucket out which defeats the object of the exercise, (being saving you from hurting your back), and
(c) they are so badly made the first one was damaged when it arrived, and the replacement got bent beyond use within a week.

Nelson Pessoa lungeing Aid. Dangerous complicated load of ropes that it is really not practical to use on your own with a young horse, potentially a hazardous piece of equipment that appears to make most horses very unhappy. Also expensive.

I agree totally. I took hours to get in on and adjusted, it did nothing for my horse and everyone laughed at me for buying the lastest gadget. It then spent 2 years in my tack trunk before I gave it away when I sold the horse!!!

Way too many ropes for my low level of practicality

A grazing muzzle - a collosal waste of money!

Yep, same here, bought the Fieldguard one, put it on her, she made me feel guilty with those sad brown eyes, muzzle removed, now gathering dust.

Schooling livery at posh yard when on holiday one year - kept horse boxed in tiny box and sometimes didn't get round to riding her as had too many horses - sent sane horse got crazy one back.

Newmarket wool exercise sheet. Doesn't fit any of the neds so unused. Going on Ebay when I get round to it.

P.S. I love the Pessoa, or did with last ned. She went lovely in it. Only had it on lowest setting as she youngster. Can't try t yet on new neddy due to pelvis issue.

The so called cob sized running martingale I bought on e-bay last week that turns out to be bigger than the full sized one I already had that was too big!
Or
Ditto above grackle noseband bought from same seller!
Or
The equiboot that no matter how tight I fitted it the pony just stepped straight out of it.....
I could go on forever!

A neck rug that I bought for old pony - doesnt fit so never used! I still have it in my tack room!!
I dont own a pessoa but borrowed a friends and although definitely was fiddly I loved it!! It actuallly made my ned track up!!

SMB Elite boots. Bought to protect my horse's legs when she got turned out again after box rest for her tendon injury, then I did my research and found (by both research and experience) that the boots heated the legs up even when she was stood still grazing, and were probably doing more harm than good. They're now sat in the shed awaiting eBay-ing.
That probably also goes for my nice Prolite boots I bought for XC - damned horse can't jump now!

Hayball. Utterly useless. Fell apart even when used by my ancient mare who's quite non-vigorous eating hay, then the legs broke off the spider plastic things that the spokes fit into. Complete cr*p.

'knee chaps' from mountain horse. i look back now and laugh at this decision!

i also love my pessoa- ex racer goes beautifully in it...my wB that i used to have went cr@p in it though....

One of my many ebay purchases

Maybe the very nice english leather padded headpiece which doesnt fit

or maybe the "good quality pony size havanna working hunter bridle" it was
1) Not good quality
2) ORANGE!
3)fine enough to use on a hack
4) what looked like a mixture of shetland , cob and full (NOT PONY!!)
mad.gif
and the stupidest head piece which was like a pony size across the top and full size on the throatlash!!!

ARGH!!

Haybar; my horses just pull the contents out and drag it across their beds anyway. So what WAS the point?!

QR a pair of sportabac turnout socks which reach the top of his thigh
laugh.gif
so sit and gather dust.

a leather bar grazing muzzle. Totally useless.

a leather daisy rein. it looks horrid on, rubbed his mane to bits and upset him loads.

A thick, strong leadrope that I bought at a ropemakers because it looked smart. It's not long enough for groundwork, but too thick to tie properly so no good for day-to-day use. The only use I have ever found for it is to pull my girth sleeve on and off the girth.
