What is the one thing that would make you leave your yard?

My old yard was great but my tack had been used by the ym's 'pet' who had none of her own! Caught one little brat in the field trying to catch my Shetland, she was going to exercise it for me! Final straw was when a Rita came in and liverys had a set time to ride and I would have to ride before 4pm but my daughter would need to wait til 7pm to ride for 15mins, she was 3yrs old and goes to bed at 7!

I have literally just moved yards. Moved due to no menage and always having somebody elses horse to do. Im not a sort of working pupil at current yard and so far its brilliant

Had to make a quick move in December due to my horse being endangered, but what would be unacceptable to me is no turnout year round - my horse would not cope with that, he needs downtime in a field every day even for an hour!

Oh, and paying for services and not getting them, all the while being lied to by YO about what horse has and hasn't had. Especially hay and feed!! Grrr

I left my old yard because the yard manager was sooo lazy and refused to mend the fencing everytime his horse broke through it! wouldn't of been so if if his horse didn't decide to kick every other horse!

What about restricted opening hours & you have a full time job!! :(

If I had a big proper yard, the place would be open as long as needed! If a DIY or full livery had booked the school for 10 o clock, so be it...it's money in the pocket yes? What they are paying for? Don't see the point in shutting up shop early when you can be earning a crust....

:D
