I’m trying to quieten my lorry! It’s pretty squeaky and rattly so am looking at ways of stopping it.
These chains attach with a bolt one side and clip the other. They appear to me to do nothing but jingle.
Before I chop them off, any idea what they are or why they are there?

Mr F ( deisel fitter ) says they look like were origionally for hanging stuff from , or securing stuff to , the roof/walls in your lorries previous life . Not currently serving any apparent purpose . Cut away !
Thank you! I’ve tried to imagine what on earth they are for but drew blanks! I use one to hang a haynet from but really need to put a proper non jangly ring up for that.
Thank you Mr F!!
