What is this?? :( (lump on belly)

Ok so my dog has developed this on her tummy..

She had the same sort of thing on the side of her face on her lip a while back and the vet said it was caused by her halti collar. Apparently where the halti collar had been rubbing it had caused blocked pores which ended up looking like that.

So I stopped using her halti collar and bought a harness for her, and now this has popped up which looks very similar to the lump she had before on her lip. After I stopped using the halti collar on her the lump disappeared completely from her lip after a few weeks.. But I stopped using her body harness over a month ago but it's still there..

I hope this makes sense and someone could let me know if it's the same thing or not?

Thought I'd ask for your advise etc before taking her to a vet.

This one just shows it is only on the skins surface, not a lump under the skin. Also she shows no pain etc when I've been looking and fiddling with it.

Could be a hair follicle cyst?? My JRT Millie, has a lump on her side just by her shoulder, it's under the skin though, vet said that it's a hair follicle cyst, it changes size and sometimes disappears totally.

Ah right, so is it something that can't/vets say no to it being removed? Shall I still take her to the vet or see what happens with it? Thanks for your reply :)
 
Same as. I know it's a pic and I am not an expert and I am probably wrong, but the surrounding area does look a wee bit sore (apologies if she was sitting beside the fire or something :o)

My fella got very bad rub off a harness (and it made his pulling worse, just leant into it, he's a sensitive sod, good collar and lead combo and brute strength all the way for me.
 
Me thinks that will make nice gunky pop if you squeeze! She has the type of hair for getting blocked folicles. If you are worried pop her to the vet to check it out. I would stick a warm flannel on it for a few mins and give it a squeeze if it were one of my dogs though! :D

Don't think I'm too keen on the popping idea.. What if it doesn't just pop and it pops and shoots?! Lol.

I'll put a warm flannel on it and then have a little squeeze if I feel I can brave it haha! If it doesn't go to plan I think I'll be taking her to the vets. Maybe they'll do it for me :D:D:D

I think it is a bit red surrounding it but she's not licking it or anything. Some of it might be from the big bright lamp though a few inches away when I took the pics :D
 
You could put some aloe vera gel on it, as long as she doesn't lick it off.

Think I'd take to vets to make sure and I wouldn't pop it, you know what its like if you pop a blister, its more painful, I find anyway. Once the skin is broken it could get infected if you do that.

I'd go with a collar, our dog pulled when we first had her (age 1) but she's fine now (age 2) and that was with just a collar and lead. My OH used a gentle leader on her once, I didn't like it so didn't use it and she was fine anyway. She's a springer btw. Took a while but she walks fine to heal now.

Would it be ok to put purple spray on it? Also how long will it take for it to disappear?

Yes she is young and only 1 year and 7 months :)

Also she has to wear a harness or halti as she is so strong and I'm not lol. Also when she sees any other dog she lunges at them (playful not nasty) and has been known to snap/break collars before so I need something which is strong enough for me to hold her with and also gives me more control :)

Iodine two or three times a day is what i was always told,but they do eventually just shrivel up and die ,common in bull terrier youngsters.
