What is this on my dog's nose?

I got up this morning and noticed this lump on Pepper's nose! It wasn't there yesterday so must've popped up overnight which is strange. Any thoughts before a vet visit?

She's always had a dry and scaly nose so if anyone also knows how that can be helped that would be helpful too :)
 
Could be! Vet was unsure as well and we're just to keep an eye on it. I will look into Biotin as well :)
 
@Chippers1 I think this is the little dog from Spain. It could be worth having her blood retested for serum antibodies for Leishmaniasis, to rule that out as a possible cause of the lesion on her nose.
 
Oh no I haven't, I will look into a nose balm. She's from Holland :) and was clear at the time she came over but it would definitely be worth re-testing so I will get this done. I've had a quick look and she doesn't have any of the other listed symptoms but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Do you know which country she was from before she went to the foster home in Holland?
 
Yes she was from Georgia and I've just seen it's very high risk there so there's a chance it has been lying dormant in her somewhere. You think you do everything right :(
I will definitely be getting her re-tested.
