Looks like a malignant melanoma especially as horse is grey

Thanks! Was thinking melonoma but I've never seen one that large or angry looking. Poor horse.

Poor thing. Not a typical presentation for a SCC, they tend to be more erosive / ulcerative in nature. Could be a melanoma. Could be a number of things. My punt would be haemangiosarcoma but impossible to tell by appearance alone. Hope the horse is getting seen to properly.
