thanks!

It's just an old saddle - about 1850 I would imagine - it is a standard shape and design with the original half panels. They did not have dressage /Gp saddles when this was made so it ould in effect just be a standard saddle. Actually quite a nice one to use for showing as straight panels, a nice flat sheet, serge underside and half panels allowing for full movement in the shoulders

Marketed as Whippy show saddle and given a thorough going over you could end up with quite a good price for this.

or it could be quite a nice saddle to use (as long as you can cope without knee rolls) but in my experience will be VERY firm in the seat

I have not sat on it on my horse as he has been slightly lame but it does seem pretty comfy when ive put it on the chair arm. im unsure of the fit so would want to get someone to come on and check it first, and possibley do a part exchange for something more suitable if this is possible?

i invested in a sheepskin seat saver for my Thorogood griffin as its soo narrow and hard its quite painful, lol so would have extra padding if i was to keep it

its a very old gp but some people do still use them for showing i dont like them and wouldnt put one on my horse

I had one of those for my old horse- i bought it from the yard owner/instructor- it was just an old half saddle. It was a redish leather and lovely. Unfortunately/fortunately it was stolen a few months after I bought it and had it insured so I ended up with a lovely 2nd hand Ideal GP instead
