what is this?!?!

hiya x my pony has something on his chest. it looks like a wart....but dont know if horses can get these? ive noticed it being there for about 2 months.
description:
-black
-kinda lumpy (just not a regular circle hahahaha)
-looks like it has tiny scales!!! :S but that might just be skin lol
-looks like its just attached to skin at one point so kinda standing out
very tiny (about the side of a hamma bead if anyone knows what they are lol)
-thought it was a scab but it wont come of!

sorry for the awful description with all those lovely technical terms
could it be a sarcoid??? im really worried coz they are cancerous arent they!!??
will post a pick tomorrow when i take one x

No he's not going to die - don't panic!

Next time you have the vet out ask him to check it out and if it is a sarcoid he'll suggest appropriate treatment. If you are really worried get the vet out asap and hopefully put your mind at rest.

I have a little pony with a similar sounding thing on her saddle patch - it is a polyp and not a sarcoid, and will be frozen off the next time the vet comes.

Quite possibly a sarcoid - vet to check it out so you know what you're dealing with.

No he's not going to die!

Does sound like a sarcoid, just ask the vet to have a look next time he comes.

Mine had one removed from where her umbilical cord would have been removed. to be honest if she got another I wouldn't even have it removed unless it was interferring with her tack or causing a problem.
