WHAT IS THIS?

Have just seen a photo (not on here) of some sort of gadget and wondered what it is:

It has 2 straps that go either side of the shoulders near the tops of the front legs that are looped through the girth loops with a clip near the girth presumably for tightening them.

These then join together in a ring mid way down the neck, about where martingale loops connect to the reins

There is then a short length of leather then a ring that then either connects to the bit or reins come out of it and go through the bit.

First thought was de gouge but it doesnt seem to have the head piece.

Theres no neckstrap bit and the straps go over the shoulder just above the front legs the connect to the girth near where your legs go if you have long legs near the bottom of the horses side.

Sounds like a variation of a harbridge do you have a llink to the picture?

it looks similar to this:

but obv without the back bit, and the side bits connect lower down, near the top of the front leg.

Having studied photo with yo's help have established it looks like a bungie.

Never having used one- can they be connected to the girth as all the photos online show it connected to the d rings of the saddle?

Or are there just different settings?

Note: I am NOT planning on using it before anyone asks why Im using something I dont know how to!
