WHAT IS THIS!!!

I found this on my manure heap today and have no idea what on earth it is. There are 4 seperate patches of it. I've put the fork next to it for scale so you can see it is large. If it was much smaller I would think that it is fox vomit! It is crispy and not at all spongy even though it looks like it would be.

It's a type of fungi/algae type thing I think. We have that near our muck heap and where the cows used to be.
