No pics unfortunately; but the dentist is coming out and I want to know what to expect.
A few weeks ago I noticed my girl had some general redness at the gumline of her incisors. She is eating properly, is not snotty, and isn't doing anything irregular with her mouth or lips. No quidding, etc. Her breath has gone from smelling bloody this last week to smelling like death - but that is the only sign that something is wrong dental wise. One of the affected teeth is now dark brown along the gumline, with what appears to be a sizeable "chip" peeling from the front at the top of the tooth. Still no obvious pain, swelling, salivating, snotty nose, quidding, etc. She has always dribbled when she eats and it's hard to tell if its gotten worse because of how messy she can be normally. Everything else about her teeth and gums seem fine.
At first I thought she might have been teething but now I don't think that's the case at all. I haven't seen anything that looks vaguely like this come up when searching for "normal" dental problems besides periodontal disease, which is close but not exact, and I don't have any horsey friends to ask. Any advice or ideas would be very much appreciated!!
