My silly 16.3 TBx has been out in the big field today after being kicked last Tuesday, he is normally quiet (but has had a week off!). I managed to catch him fine, walking back through the field and he decided to leg it, I had to let go (I wasnt expecting him to do it so didnt have much choice in the matter!) and it took me 10 mins to get near him again never mind catch him (he is normally 110% to catch!). If he didnt have the headcollar on and leadrope wrapping around his legs I would have left him but I couldnt, and all the rest of the night he has been pooping his pants everytime I even moved around him and snorting at me. He also kicked out (and got the wall!) when I fed him which is totally unlike him!

I cant think what is wrong with him - any ideas?????

I could have KILLED HIM! If he wont come in tomorrow Im afraid he can stay out lol! It is just so uncharacteristic, one min he was walking next to me, next min woooosh hes off!

Might I say though he did look beautiful with tail up prancing like a big girl!

Apparently im so scary lol! Spring grass would be nice - in fact grass in general would be nice lol!

Like I always tell him - its a good job he is gorgeous otherwise I would have killed him by now!

Something similar just happened to my pal's YO who climbed through the electric fencing to get her horse in and she had just got his head collar on when he suddenly went mad and ran through her, through the fence, through the next field and onto the road and then wouldn't let anyone near him for hours snorting and carrying on. My money's on the electric fence touching YO and/or ned. Could that have happened to your ned?

A very similar thing happened with the Moose a couple of weeks ago - she was a bit funny to catch (she's ALWAYS good to catch) then she had a complete freak out with snorting, growing, shaking, the lot. The electric fence was down in her field when we went to get her in, and we think she might have got the tape caught up in her headcollar and given herself a hefty zap.

She was absolutely fine the next day, though, back to her normal soppy self. I hope your boy is back to normal soon.
