What is yor dogs night time routine?

Those of you that let your dogs sleep on/in bed with you, are they little in size? I can only do this when my husband is away due to having 3 labs, when they're all crammed onto the bed I get shoved over, practically hanging off the side whilst they all bask upside down, legs splayed everywhere!

Well mine are staffords so yes small dogs... However when ts cold I have woken up hanging on the edge of my king size bed!! And as for the dogs and the warm bit in the morning ? Get that too. I get up around six, if I go back upstairs they are all curled up where I had been!

I couldnt have the Doberman on the bed, it's bad enough on the old sofa (which is where he sleeps). Hes all elbows and bones and giant muddy paws! The Border terrier sleeps with him on the sofa for about a hour but shes a bit wee-ey leaky and so after a while she widdles off to her dog crate and leaves him with a little wet patch next to his face all night....

here is said stinky sofa (we cant get rid of it as Doberman chews loose cushions and this ancient sofa has all the cushions stitched in, so he cant hurl bits of foam around!)

Oh he is a gorgeous dog! Love the sheepish little look on the borders face too, had there been a bit of leakage on this occasion!? One awful night, I woke up to find a MASSIVE wet patch right by m head, caused by my eldest bitch. I think she had gone to sleep so happy, contented and relaxed she lost all control of her bladder. Not a nice experience for me I must say. I found her hiding under the dining room table, she couldn't even look me in the eye!

Yes she gets a very shifty look, sidelong with whites of the eyes then looking away. hence the snuggly jacket I sacrificed to her! She doesnt do big puddles just polite little dampness....but enough for her to reject that place - when I take Monty Dobie out for a last run she refuses to go cos as soon as we are out of the door she will have nicked his place on the sofa and left him her end with the damp patch :-)))

They get a walk before i go to the yard, then have tea around 7pm. Out for wee-wees after tea. Bella then retires upstairs to her bed on the landing. Jasper tends to stay down here and snuggle with me.

The both go out around 10 pm when I give the guinea pigs their last hay of the evening, then up to bed.

Jasper always sleeps in bed with me - he snuggles into my back while I read for a bit, and will then move down the bed to tuck into my tummy when the light goes off. Bella will either sleep on her bed next to my bed or in her bed on the landing - she alternates during the night between these two places. Bella comes up on the bed when she hears the heating clicking on at 6.30 am and has a snuggle for an hour before its time to get up and go out. Jasper stays in bed until he hears the carrots being cut up in the mroning for the piggies - he has been known to stay in bed for 12 hours without a wee - he's a real snuggle monster and loves being in bed.

Herman spends the evening on the sofa, leaning against me. At 10.15 on the dot he gets up to knock at the back door to go out for his last wee, we brush our teeth while he's out and then head up to bed.

If hound and I are first up then he sleeps at the foot of the bed while we wait for the boyfriend to come up. Once bf is through the bedroom door he gets off and goes to sleep in his bed which is tucked into the corner of the room. Its only since we got this new high sided bed that he'll get off ours - we've gone through countless mats and other beds for him til we realised he was leaning against things. I've got lots of pictures of him sleep in front of his beds... Before then he'd mostly sleep on our bed

Our little one goes to work 9til5, then stables for few hours each evening, dinner around 7ish, cuddles and telly time, then midnight he sleeps under my bed, sometime he allowed on the foot of the bed.

Weekends he fights crime......

I'm so glad a lot of you let the dogs sleep in the bed too! :D

We have tea about 6:30pm and then walk about 7:30pm, for half an hour, which is at a very slow pace, as we are still too young for any long walks. But we get to see the sights of the village etc. We come back at 8pm where both of the puppies wandder around the little yard (no garden, but will have soon can NOT wait to move) for around 10 mins, and then we come in and doze. About 10 we have a 20 min mad sesh with toys, and then sleep. Go up tobed about 11ish, darcey falls into bed, curls up around my legs under the duvet. The younger dog does her usual patrol of the house to check everything is ok and then settles in for the night. She usually does another patrol every other hour.

Mine wait for me and OH to go to sleep, and all pile on and find a comfy spot. Problem is we have a boxer, a whippet, two jacks and a cat. So we do wake up as if weve all been playing twister. But theyre so sweet we couldnt kick them out.
