Hi, just wondered what make of rug you prefer and why?

There seems to be so many brands!

Ive bought weatherbeeta rugs up to now..but have found that they rub on the mane area if they have a neck cover.

Premier Equine, hard wearing, long with big tail guards, don't rub, comfy fit, fab quality surcingles (thick and wide) and buckles are heavy duty, most come with detachable necks, lightweight even in a high gramme - wouldn't buy anything else!

Used to be Horseware, no question. Until they got more expensive, less easy to get hold of and couldn't get a sensible answer out of head office.

Have now gone over to Premier Equine....

As per Kate - I love Horseware rugs. They seem to last for ever and are just such good quality. I can't stand Premier Equine though - just seem to fit my TBs badly....love their boots though....

Premier Equine all the way. I also use Horseware a lot and have a couple of Shires and Weatherbeetas. All good rugs but for all over satisfaction, I would say PE rugs.

New Premier Equine rug is plenty long enough, but very restricting in front!! Rubbing his shoulders and doesn't look very comfortable at all.

Horseware, I love the V front closure bit, my pet hate is the top of the front of the rug (if that makes sense :o ) digging into their chest/bottom of neck when they put their heads down.

I also have a Falpro stable rug which i like.

I like Weatherbeeta, they're reasonably priced and they've always fit my horses well and not rubbed. I've tried others but always go back to them. I think some of the prices of the Fal and Horseware rugs are ridiculous, I couldn't justify paying over £200 for a rug when I can get a cheaper one with the same weight and strength which also fits my horse.

Horseware ireland :D

Brililant make - and everything lasts, unlike some other brands I know of, *cough*weatherbeeta*cough*

I still have the rambo wug I bought 12 years ago!
