Mine is unknown, but by a son of either Cherokee king or Ballysheil Cherokee, not sure which, but both are ISH! No idea of mother, he was an accidentle foal, but we have copious amounts of different guesses from people, but he is pure irish either way!!
Well Twiggy (Fair Value) is by Dwilliam Courage (by Dutch Courage) out of Daring Dash (by Derring March) so nearly full TB.
Swallow is by Small land Maytino out of Fladbury Geisha Girl, registered as Riding Pony, but has Welsh, PBA, TB and Anglo Arab all mixed up in there!
Bea (Witches Broom) is by Fram out of Carte Blanche, full TB.
Joey is by Bazaars Texas (by Dallas Bright Spark, grandsire Dallas) out of Loch Irish,15/16s TB.
Marlise is ID x French TB allegedly, although there are days when I think there may be a little bit of donkey. The two shetlands are shetlands but have no papers (they did but when I got them the papers couldnt be found). I dont care I love them all just as they are
Dougal is a clydesdale cross ( breeding unknown)
Mcfly aka Oakfield George is a gypsy vanner cob by The old horse of wales and the old black mare bred by the following. web page gypsyhorseinternational
They are really nice people and the horses are lovely.
I would buy from them again if I had the chance to. Certainly worth a look if you are looking for a coloured cob or coloured horses in general. After looking at the website again tonight I have discovered they now offer a cremation service for equines.
Cazx
Welsh Section D by Craignant Flyer, out of a Nebo Daniel mare. He has Parc and Nebo lines, apparently quite desirable in Welsh Ds. However, I know nothing about breeding or showing so I wouldn't know!
He's on all breed pedigree, full name is Dyffryntanat Courage if you want to have a look. Dam's side not completed because IMO it's not down to me to fill that it, it's down to the breeder.
1 mongrel, 1 half arab, the arab, QH and APHA all have very good lines. The last two, although they belong to different registries are very similarly bred with the same names cropping up over and over again.
Basically though, a good horse is a good horse regardless of how fancy (or not) its' recorded forbears are/were . Zeus and Robin might be North American breeds but they both trace way back to Eclipse in 1760. Half the traceable HHO horses probably do!
Bo:
Sire: Fuego du Prelet (SF) x Jalisco B x Alme
Dam: Mariena
Dam Sire: Pilot x Uriel
Trike:
Sire: Calvados (SF)
Dam: Can't remember
Bo's sire jumped in the World Cup Finals and his grand sire in the Olympics. His uncle is probably better known though...Dollar du Murier...who jumped in the final 4 at WEG a few years ago.
Jenny is a bit of a mix! She is out of an anglo arab mare bred by the Abbot-Davis family and by a warmblood stallion called Panther who belonged to Malcolm Pyrah. Apparently Malcolm and the Abbot-Davis' experimented putting a few anglos to this stallion. Jen has a full brother out there somewhere who was sold to Carl Edwards around the same time I got Jen. According to my research Panther disappeared from the SJ circuit some time ago - don't know what happened to him. I can't find anything out about Jen's mum. Jen is a star though - I'd certainly like another one like her!
I have no idea whether their breeding is good or bad but thanks for posting this as I've not really looked any of it up before and it's very interesting even if I don't have a clue what it means! (If anybody knows anything about either I'd be really interested!
My best horse is sired by Negro who father is Ferro. His mother is by Don Schufro (by donnerhall) and her dam was by Centyfor. So it is filled with Top class dressage horses, so I am really hoping me and him will get quite far. He is only 5 though so I am taking things slowly!
His half sister is again by my Don Schufro mare and is out of Anky's Painted Black (by gribaldi). She is jet black with no markings, but very tiny which is slightly disappointing, with her breeding she should make 17hh but looking at her as a yearling I don't think she will make 16hh. Totally different to her brother, he is massive and very heavily muscled with big movement (I know he is older), but she looks like a little throughbred filly with plain action??? Will give her time and she what happens, but she should still fetch a good price with her breeding as a broodmare, would possibly breed some nice pony dressage foals???
I had a nice young colt bred by the zangersheide stud by Chippendale Z but his mother was by Cento also!!! That makes his bloodlines very very close indeed. It meant both his father and mother were by Cento, but he didn't have five legs or 3 eyes!!! I sold him as a two year old for a lot of money as I was desperate, it bought me a new horsebox, cleared the debts and still had quite a bit left over. I am following him closely as he should make a top class showjumper.
I have had hundreds of horses over the years from market mongrels to top class youngters, so I won't bore you with any more!!!!
Axels sire is Saker a crabbet bred arabian. His dam is by Augermann a Hanovarian grade A showjumper, and out of a TB that I don't know the name of but is something to do with Northern Dancer. So pretty good breeding from all 3 really
Oskar is by the KWPN stallion Polansky, who is by the Trakhener Kostolany (and is a half brother to Gribaldi). His dam is by Utrecht, who's grandsire was Ladykiller.
Polansky is huge and black. O. is small and bay.....
My Doobalicious is by Cavalier out of a P2P mare, would love to be more knowledgable about the TB sire. Like most I can trace him back to Eclipse lol. D'artagnan
