what is your horse's one conformation fault?

hmmmmmm, urrrrrrh, gosh I dont actually know, not because I think he's perfect and there is sure to be loads but nothing too obvious stands out if you know what I mean and I'm not an expert at CC's neither but I think I have a good eye for a horse.

you got me thinking now (which doesnt happen very often!) in fact its hurting lol!

He's got a narrow chest I think, however he's only 4 but still I think its a bit narrow, which is not good, always told that a horse should have a good chest to accommodate all there bits and pieces to help them physically.

Don't think his back end matches his front end, a weak back end? this hopefully will improve with maturity and the right work but again better to have the right proportions to begin with as a youngster.

As for angle of the shoulder, and all that business, not a clue thats when it gets a all technical but feel free to offer if you want to have a practice at your CC's, I'd be interested to know the good, the bad and ugly!

Mine has got several. She's slighly long backed, but i expect this is because she is a mare, straighter than desired hind legs, slightly long hinds, weak neck, and she's too small for my liking

Mine dishes both front feet (yes it is very odd to watch!)

Cant say it has stopped her doing anything as the ruddy girl hasnt done anything yet!

Shes a sweetie, and enjoys jumping so we'll see how it goes.

Sorry to go a bit off topic guys but I was reading all the posts on this and suddenly started chuckling... Can you imagine what our horses would say about us and our 'conformational defects'?!!!!

Mine would say 'she's rather small, quite well proportioned but flat footed and has a little 'excess' round the middle'!

Faults - he's a cut & shut (back shoes are two sizes smaller than fronts!) and has pretty dreadful cow hocks. Why did I buy him? Kind eye, bad start in life, gave me an amazing feel when I got on...and the fact I didn't even know what conformation was.

Mine has a goose rump but shes a good jumper so it doesn't bother me - the only thing that I'm really concerned about is that both her front feet turn out slightly from the knee.

Although strangely enough, its her back legs which conformationally I think are pretty good, that have had all the problems!

Mine has a monkey mouth, and a short thick neck. She could also do with a bit more bone too, but I can't be too fussy - she's done well despite her 'faults'.

TBH i dont really know, she probably has faults but they arent really noticeable.

She has a nice head in proportion to her body, good neck, deep chest, quite short back which isnt dippy, no pigeon toes, cow hocks, dishing ect, good feet that arent too close together, she doesnt brush, good amount of bone so i dont really know but im sure someone more experienced could point something out.

Also, she galloped flat out down quite a steep hill with me and didnt even injure herself. she is a sturdy little beast.
