My friend has one of them for her pony but she doesnt have the chiffney looking part!!! Dont have a clue what it does!!

Dexter. the ring puts extra pressure on the tongue for hard pullers. It is a pretty severe bit and only to be used when absolutly neccesary. Dont use it on your happy hack!!
